Some of you asked that I continue to document some of the guitars I am building for the HGF. Here is were im currently at, pictured are 4 commissions and 4 for HGF. This is eight of the ten guitars I have going. Missing in this pictures is a LS Redwood Fiddle back Koa OMFS and a LS Redwood Cocobolo OMFS Top row left to right, Cocobolo OMFS, Cocobolo OMFS, Flamed Mahogany E2, Ziricote L1Gp, Bottom row Mahogany L1Gp, Malaysian Blackwood E2, Sycamore L1Gp and finally a Cocobolo OMFS. One or two of these MAY be set aside and replaced with that super hot set of Coco that I got from Brock, for HGF. Finally, today the UPS man brought me a new toy! Grizzly Edge sander, and next week my spindle sander is delivered! YAH! Finally! |

Nice work, Lance. I've been planing tops, backs and sides for the past week for 3 guitars. I decided to do a batch build as well. How long can you let a braced top and back sit around before gluing up to its sides. I'm thinking as long as the braces are radiused there should be no limit...or is there? The edge sander looks great Lance. That and the spindle sander should help to speed up your builds. Yeah...I noticed that Strat as well...I also noticed the bouncing poney. We all need an escape from time to time!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

JJ, I really dont think there is a limit on time, so long as your shop stays consistant in RH. The Ziricote back I have pictured there has been braced for almost a year, I am just now getting back to it.. Ah the bouncy pony, I should have hid that better. ![]() |

Cool stuff Lance and I look forward to seeing you at the next HGF. I have 8 guitars going right now but at least two of them have been in progress since before the last HGF. One I strung up just yesterday finally that will ship out in a week or so to Ohio. I have yet to think about what I'll take to the show next year. |

Wow, Lance, that's some great looking wood. What a privilege it is to have the opportunity to build such great things for people! I took the opportunity to look at your website, which I haven't done in a while. A very professional job, start to finish. |

Well, you certainly have your work cut out for you this winter! How long will it take you to get them all done? Great looking wood by the way. I have an edge sander that is the same size as yours, I use it all the time. What is HGF? |

Lance- I fully understand the bouncy pony.It is that pair of high heeled black pumps under the pony that has me a bit edgy.MT(Don't even try to give us the old "fret hammer" line either.) |

Hey lance... When you go to put the little rubber feet on the sander, Don't lean it up against the bandsaw because sometimes they fall down on top of you and take about 6 square inches of skin with it. ![]() ![]() Gary |
